Project Overview

The Gandhinagar Smart City project required comprehensive ICT validation and infrastructure optimization to support its Phase-1 objectives. This included assessments and validations of the Central Control Room, NOC, citywide network systems, and various integrated technologies. The project aimed to ensure seamless functionality, system reliability, and high availability across the city. Technext Solutions was tasked with delivering these services and developing a robust Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plan along with an SLA monitoring framework.

Objective

Assess and validate the design and functionality of the Central Control Room, NOC, and server room layout.

Evaluate citywide network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi networks, integrated systems, and monitoring solutions.

Validate resource planning and availability for 24x7x365 operations.

Develop a comprehensive O&M plan and SLA monitoring framework for efficient network management.

Actions Taken

Central Control Room and NOC Assessment

Conducted a detailed evaluation of the Central Control Room and Network Operations Centre (NOC).

Validated the design, server room layout, and functionality of critical systems to ensure they met operational requirements.

System and Solution Validation

Validated the functionality of integrated systems, including:

Digital Signage

IP-Based Public Addressing (PA) System

Face Detection System

Automatic Number Plate Reading (ANPR)

Ensured these systems were seamlessly integrated and met the required performance standards.

 Development of O&M Plan and SLA Monitoring Framework

Designed a comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plan to ensure continuous system functionality.

Developed an SLA monitoring framework to track and measure network performance against defined service standards.

 Citywide Network Assessment

Assessed the citywide Wi-Fi network infrastructure, including 750 access points and over 220 surveillance cameras.

Evaluated the performance and reliability of network components to optimize connectivity and data flow.

Resource Planning Validation

Assessed resource planning and availability monitoring to ensure 24x7x365 operations.

Recommended improvements for staff allocation and monitoring tools to maintain uninterrupted service.

Optimization and Testing

Conducted system testing to validate the reliability and performance of network and integrated solutions.

Optimized configurations to improve scalability and maintain system efficiency.
